My baby won't keep
This evening I had plans to do some laundry, take out the trash and the yard sacks I bagged up on Saturday but this did not happen. My little one was having some trouble with colic. She's over 3 months old and she is a great deal better, but she needed extra holding and loving. When I looked down into her eyes as she was crying out, I thought of the poem my Mom told me about. I just exhaled and took a deep breath and chose to embrace the moment with Raynie. I am so glad I did, thanks Mom!

Will Raynie's adoption ever be final?
Great question, we are beginning to wonder. Seems this has been a long process. We knew on July 4th that this was the only way to move forward. Quickly had an attorney and the kids signed their paper work on July 9th. 60 days later we are still waiting. We have completed the home study with flying colors. In fact the social worker was wonderful. She sent us the report for our review, furnished a wonderful reading list for us, and provided recommended books to read to Raynie regarding "Adoption". We had to put our mail on hold due to conflicts with Casey, so we were delayed in being notified of our finger prints being returned. Sabrina quickly found another company who could file our fingerprints electronically. We are hoping the hard copy will be delivered to our attorney today. Once received, our attorney can file for a court date for the adoption to be official! Guess I need to believe what I typed to Sabrina a few minutes ago: "God is in control – His timing will be perfect – there are reasons we do not know and probably would not understand – we just have to do what we can and believe God will take care of the rest." Can I have an "Amen?"
